The Volunteer

The Volunteer explores the integration of cultural, environmental, and technical systems in architecture. Working collaboratively with Ayah Al-Ariki, we developed a scheme that merges programmatic flexibility with sensitivity to site, climate, and material assembly. The project envisions two interconnected structures, one grounded and public and the other elevated and lightweight, linked by bridges that frame views and mediate landscape and structure. The design process balanced large-scale environmental considerations with detailed tectonic expression, culminating in both digital and physical models that translate the imaginative act of drawing into the tangible logic of construction.
