Deconstruct

The Deconstruct restaurant explores the tension between interior and exterior as a way of reimagining communal space in South Knoxville. Situated beside an abandoned parking garage, the project reclaims the site through a three-story structure that merges occupation, exposure, and material decay. Private functions, kitchen, bar, and offices, occupy protected interiors, while dining and gathering spaces unfold across exterior decks and terraces, inviting weather and time to shape experience.

Through this interplay of shelter and openness, permanence and transformation, the project embodies the studio's exploration of "imaginative structure" architecture that lives through touch, use, and adaptation, leaving a trace that endures beyond its makers.
